Awareness Talks
Kidney diseases are often silent and can lead to severe kidney failure, necessitating costly treatments like dialysis or transplants. In developing countries, only 5-10% of patients receive such treatments due to high costs and limited resources. CKD is common and incurable, making prevention vital.
The India Renal Foundation focuses on raising awareness about kidney health. Through our “Prevention Through Awareness” program, we educate the public on early detection and simple, affordable tests to prevent or delay severe kidney disease.
Detection Camps
Detection tests are crucial for disease prevention. Early screening identifies conditions early, allowing for timely intervention to halt disease progression.
Our Prevention Through Awareness Program includes a detection component to offer immediate testing on-site. The detection camps feature:
- Serum Creatinine
- Random Blood Sugar
- Urine Test (R & M)
Kidney Walks
The Foundation hosts ‘Kidney Walks’ on World Kidney Day and Organ Donation Day to raise awareness and engage the community.
