Prerana Motive
Chronic Kidney Failure causes immense mental and financial stress, often diminishing patients’ will to live. Prerana, launched in October 2002, aims to restore their emotional well-being and quality of life by providing support and inspiration.
How do we work
Every two months, we invite patients on dialysis or who have had kidney transplants to our chapters for educational, motivational, yoga, and entertainment programs. These events also offer a space for patients and their families to connect and share experiences.

Our Prerana Programme
India Renal Foundation (IRF) works for the rehabilitation of kidney patients. The Rehabilitation activities for kidney patients have been run under the program called ‘Prerana’ since October 2002. The motive behind running this program is to improve their emotional stability and quality of life.
IRF educates patients and their family members on a variety of important healthcare topics and many issues kidney patients face such as diet/nutrition, mental/emotional stability, renal replacement treatment options, etc. Besides that IRF gives them a platform where they meet each other and share their feelings.
This program is being done across Gujarat at all chapters for kidney patients.
On the 13th Anniversary of this program, the foundation received inspiring feedback from many of our patients. We are glad to share some of them here…
