What is Jivandaan?
Launched in 2005, Jivandaan addresses the critical need for educating society about cadaver organ donation, especially for kidney transplants to unrelated individuals. The program aims to increase awareness and facilitate organ donation from brain-dead individuals.
How do we work
Our volunteers and staff maintain regular contact with ICUs. When they identify a brain-dead patient, they work to counsel and persuade the family to consider organ donation. Since the program’s inception, we’ve successfully facilitated cadaver donations for 105 patients.
Grief Counseling
Organ donation involves harvesting organs from a deceased person for transplantation. Grief counseling is crucial in this process, as families often face profound shock and loss. We provide support and guidance to help families make the decision to donate their loved one’s organs, offering hope and a new chance at life to those in need.
